I am running for Trustee because I believe that strong leadership, with a deep awareness of Piermont’s past and an eye on the future, is what is required at this critical time for Piermont.
As a 28-year resident of Piermont, I have seen Piermont evolve and grow over the decades. I have seen Piermont respond to crises large and small, as a community anyone would be proud to call home. I am extremely proud to call Piermont my home, and I intend to do so for the rest of my life.
With that, I would like to contribute to my community through serving on the Piermont Village Board. I have decided to run for Trustee at this time because, frankly, I believe that some of Piermont’s current Board have not lived up to their responsibilities and I believe it is time for new leadership in Piermont.
I have had a successful 25-year career delivering IT and professional consulting services to Fortune 500 and government clients. My job is all about solving problems to ensure our teams can deliver the right talent solutions to enable our clients to grow and thrive. I deal with demanding clients every day and manage a large team of employees. I have to build consensus on a daily basis and deliver on our commitments. I am a member of senior leadership, responsible for crafting strategy, executing via innovation and change management.
Prior to my current career, I spent eight years in environmental and energy consulting, working on Superfund cleanup and energy infrastructure initiatives. I know that Piermont’s infrastructure needs, and climate change response, will require financial support from County, State and Federal entities. I have over 30 years of experience crafting successful government proposals which I would like to leverage in support of Piermont’s grant efforts.
I am a proud member of the women’s executive organization CHIEF, which aims to bring more women into leadership positions and support their development. I am a proud supporter of many causes including Moms Demand Gun Sense of Rockland, the Nyack Center and the Center for Safety and Change.
I previously served on the Board of the Nyack Park Conservancy, where I was involved in fundraising for the children’s playground refresh and skatepark build. I also served on the Board of the Nyack Field Club for five years, where I was responsible for the pool programs, summer staff and maintenance contracts.
I am eager to work with the community, our volunteers, and businesses to build a brighter future for Piermont.
I would be honored to receive your vote for Piermont Trustee and promise to work hard and collaboratively for the benefit of all of Piermont.
